We are pleased to announce our Point Piper Apartment has been shortlisted for a 2013 Houses Award in the category of Apartment, Unit or Townhouse.

The structure for the new roof pavilion was erected this week. The project is finally taking shape.

It was a great way to end last week with the announcement of the 2013 Australian Interior Design Awards shortlist. Merewether Surfhouse has been selected in the Hospitality Design category. Congratulations to all other shortlisted projects!

A great milestone today at our Darlinghurst Rooftop project. Our builders co-ordinated a tight crane lift tango between council street trees, heritage buildings and tiger tailed cables all over one of the steepest roads in Darlinghurst. The prefabricated steel and timber structure for the new rooftop pavilion is now ready for site erection.

Annandale House has won a Dulux Colour Award for Best Single Residential Exterior. Excerpt from the jury citation:

Judges were impressed with the subtle, cohesive and sophisticated use of colour which successfully engaged the exterior with its interior. According to the judging panel, the scheme came alive through the use of colours that traditionally wouldn’t be used together. This project shows that with a creative use of colour a heritage space can complement a new modern addition in any home.

Tina and Will are off to their respective awards jury duties this week. Tina is on the jury panel for the 2013 Australian Institute of Architects NSW Chapter Awards and Will is in Melbourne to review entries in the 2013 Australian Interior Design Awards.

The brief for this new project is to convert an expansive industrial building into a sustainable childcare facility. We are incredibly excited about collaborating with acclaimed landscape architect and play-space designer Fiona Robbé on the adaptive re-use of this warehouse in Sydney’s inner west.

We are thrilled to be selected as a finalist in the 2013 Dulux Colour Awards Single Residential Exterior category. There are a total of 8 finalists in this category, see them all here.

Annandale House has been longlisted in the WAN 2012 House of the Year Awards together with 31 other international entries.

This week our Darlinghurst Rooftop project commences on site. As our builders were getting ready to start demolition we took this opportunity to take some photos for nostalgia.
